There seems to be more stuff and materials available for newbies like me. But they provide more things like music, kits, etc. But one thing about game salad that I prefer is their store. Not sure how it'll be like for me if I switch to game salad. I'm not a good programmer, but I've learnt things pretty fast on Stencyl. But you are right too, Game salad has its own pros. I think Stencyl has AdColony as well? Not sure if this counts. Which to me is a good thing as it allows me to test if the game is fit for publishing before I start pumping in money. For stencyl, I don't even have to pay yet, only until I want to publish, then I'll pay. If I were to finish it by Jan 2016, it means I have to pay close to 200. Aiming to finish the game by Nov or Jan next year. Means I'll be paying close to $100 before even beta testing it.

Creating a simple highscore jumping game already took me almost 2 - 3 months. I need help and guidance and I can't program quickly.
#GAMESALAD IOS FREE#
But with only 15 days free to try out and get used to it, it seems like stencyl was a better choice. Definitely a no go for game maker for now due to its high pricing. I was also considering game salad, stencyl and game maker. I feel that each has their pros and cons. I'm very sorry if this posted on the wrong thread.
#GAMESALAD IOS CODE#
I know posting this on stencyl forum might get me biased info, but I'm hoping to ease my mind to concentrate on stencyl, as I like the pricing terms on stencyl more than on gamesalad, and I have read that stencyl gave more options to code (if really needed, though I dont really want to code anymore if I dont have to lol). So ads would be the way to go and this is very important.
#GAMESALAD IOS FOR FREE#
from what I read, stencyl only have 1 option for ads ? admob ? while gamesalad has many vendor and has been integrated too to use ads ?Īs I see that many games release for free on android/ios, I dont think my games would be selling good even with only 99 cents. Is it true ? or I might just not grasp it good with only half the tutorial ?Ģ. so I might be able to produce results sooner on gamesalad (and I have read some ppl said that stencyl do have a higher curve to learnt).

I feels like gamesalad is easier to learnt, while with stencyl it seems that it would be higher curve. So, from pricing perspective, seems like stencyl would be the better choice.īut, there are some other things weighing on my mind :ġ. While for gamesalad, it only let me tried it for 15 days, and then I have to subscribe monthly for $30 a month (in a year, this would be even more expensive than stencyl). I like stencyl because it let me use it for free to build my game first, and then when I'm satisfied with it, I can just subscribe for anually (for $199 ?) and just published it on android/ios. Sorry if I might not really grasped it, but for now, with all the small free time I had, this is what I can learnt, and I do want to concentrate on one, not both. I have tried to gathered info on both, and tried the tutorial, though just half of the tutorial, but as I'm a developer, I think I have grasped the basic of it. This is not for hobyy, but I do want to make money from this.
#GAMESALAD IOS FOR ANDROID#
So, I'm a developer looking to make a game for android/ios (mainly for android now, but why not if the same code can be used for ios too). I know there are several topics of these, but what I found are old topics (newest one was feb 2015 that I found).
